Product Name: Restylane
Product Ingridients: Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid
Restylane is a FDA-approved injected dermal filler. The gel was generated of a biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA). This natural substance was found in all living organisms. It provides volume and fullness to the skin.
Restylane is nonanimal. Generated by Streptococcus species of bacteria, it is made biotechnologically by natural fermentation in a sterile laboratory environment. This fact diminishes the risk of different allergic and inflammatory reactions. No allergy or skin test is required.
The product contains approximately 100,000 particles per mL (20 mg/mL). These particles are highly cross-linked, which makes Restylane one of the most rigid hyaluronic acid fillers.
The transparent gel has a double action mechanism. The moment the gel gets into the skin it flattens the wrinkles and folds and gives natural volume and fullness to the skin. After that the dermal filler is absorbed by the dermal tissue, attracting and binding hydrophilic molecules for maintaining the volume. After some time Restylane is gradually removed from the body and it disappears without a leftover.
Restylane is recommended for correction of the mid-to-deep wrinkles, nasolabial folds, tear troughs, glabellar frown and marionette lines. Moreover, the product is effective in lip enhancement and cheek augmentation. Other clinical trials include correction of the jowls and nasal deformities.
Prior to the treatment, a local anesthetic might be required.
Restylane is harmless and efficient which has been proven by numerous clinical tests. Adverse reactions are uncommon. Its long lasting effect was confirmed by more than 1 mln procedures worldwide. The side effects were recorded only in about 1 in 2000 cases. The symptoms were the following: redness, swelling or tenderness at the injected area.
Restylane has immediate results, which can last for about 6 months or longer. Simultaneously, the product's results are flexible. As the patient ages, the face changes its shape, so the patient is willing to avoid a permanent look for years.
No recovery time is required. Patients might return to their daily routine the moment after the procedure. But in some cases several days are needed for the correction.
The procedure of Restylane insertion is very fast and easy. It has immediate result and a long lasting effect.
